Having worked closely with schools since 1994, we specialise in safeguarding and relationships work, with many schools booking our programmes year in, year out.

We use performance, discussion workshops and lesson plans, providing a holistic package of work designed to meet the needs of a wide range of learning styles and abilities.

Our work is highly evaluated and shows real impact of the programmes on participants.

We are members of the PSHE Association, Sex Education Forum and NWG to ensure our programmes are kept fully up to date in terms of the latest issues.

We have different tried and tested formats that can work with small class sized groups up to whole year groups.

We truly understand the daily pressures you face so we have made sure that our booking process is simple, friendly and most-importantly, hassle free!

We remove the stress and complication often associated with educational trips. So, no need to source transport or run time-consuming health & safety audits, we’ll do it all for you.

Our low tech approach means we can adapt to suit the space available, whether it be a small hall, drama studio or large classroom. No complicated backdrops, no long set up times. Just high quality content with minimal disruption.

Unlike many other theatre companies, our programmes are available every year! That way you can really build the programmes into your own regular RSHE curriculum.

We have strong equality and diversity policies and all staff have been trained and DBS checked.

Value

At a time where budgets are tight (and getting tighter) we all need to think about costs and the real value of everything we buy. Decisions about using outside agencies or school trips can therefore be difficult. Do you go with fun trips to theme parks? Outward bound skill based activities? Theatre trips? Educational visits? All of these compete for your budget. Loudmouth can deliver in one session all of these elements offering high quality and excellent value. We can provide a fun activity that allows learners to gain skills, have exposure to the arts and provide strong educational benefits all in one easy to book and simple to use package.

The value is even greater for larger schools as our Year in a Day format allows a whole school year to take part in a programme over one day. Up to 300 students can take part in a day with prices starting at only £6 per student. These are great for drop down or theme days and our lesson plans help you to easily create a structure for the day with a carousel style set of innovative activities that teaching staff, school nurses etc. can run with groups.

In addition Loudmouth customers receive…

  • Over 150 free online lesson plans to prepare and follow up the drama and workshop sessions.
  • Work that supports OFSTED guidance on RSHE.
  • Updates on key issues and news on PSHE and Safeguarding particularly on Statutory SRE/Relationships Education (compulsory from September 2020).
  • Free resources, White Papers and ideas to support your RSHE curriculum and planning.
  • A proven approach for increasing knowledge and confidence in RSHE issues.
  • Trained, safe and reliable visitors with excellent classroom management.
  • And an approach to RSHE that young people say they want!!

What People Say

Head Teachers

“I have been really impressed by the quality of Loudmouth’s workshops. The quality of performance is fantastic and this makes a real impact on students who are totally engaged. The question and answer sessions enable students to explore powerful issues. As Headteacher, I really feel that Loudmouth offers students a deeply relevant, accessible experience that goes way beyond what we can achieve in a traditional PSHE lesson.”

“A perfect addition to our PSHE work. It was the best interactive drama session that I have experienced. The play was very well structured and superbly acted. The actors had an enthusiasm that was commendable. Thank you for a great 2 hours!”

Deputy Head Teachers

“It should be an essential part of any school’s PSHE programme.”

“An excellent thought provoking and fun approach! The performance really hits the mark – our children were able to discuss issues in a safe and open environment. Fantastic, thank you!”

Teachers

“Students who saw Loudmouth were so engaged in the performance this morning that it has led to a very relaxed discussion (which we have never been able to do before) on sexual health matters such as transmitted diseases, pregnancy and emergency contraception. It was fab and the students were so engaged.”

“A thoroughly expert handling of sensitive and personal issues which quickly gains the respect of the children.”

Young People

“You guys are great actors you have got to come back to this school again, the whole of KS2 were glued to you thanks for teaching us such interesting things and hope to see you again.”

“Loudmouth did ”My Mate Fancies You” for us and now going through puberty doesn’t seem so bad any more. Me and my friends had a great time and hope we will have more theatre performances from them at some point. Thank you very much to Loudmouth for doing that performance! Coppice Junior School’s year 6 had a lot of fun as I heard as we left the hall! It was really interesting but funny at the same time!”

Resources for Parents

Parents have a vital role to play in RSHE/RSE and we welcome interest and involvement from parents and guardians so that they can have further discussions with their child around the topics we cover.

We can help you facilitate your positive conversations with parents, carers and guardians on your RSHE. As you will know, the government is asking schools to give transparency to parents and carers about the resources used in schools for RSHE. To support this, we have produced an information booklet on each of our programmes to send out to parents and guardians. Each booklet gives information for parents and guardians about the programme their children will be participating in. These contain useful information and definitions as well as help and support agencies, and simple ideas on how to start conversations after our visit. These booklets may not be modified without our permission.

We do ask that other Loudmouth support materals e.g. online lesson plans are not uploaded and published globally, as these are copyrighted.

Any parents or guardians who would like further information about the programme/s can contact us and we can arrange a meeting to answer their questions or invite them to come and view a session in a school.

Find these and more on our resources page here: Parents and Teachers Resources

What people say

Take a look at how we’ve helped others

Brilliant acting and interaction with the children. The play itself covered puberty in an open, realistic and humorous way which forms a terrific basis for future discussion with the teacher and each other. So much depends on the enthusiasm of the actors and I feel that we were very lucky to have such a talented pair, not only to perform, but to lead the discussions afterwards. They were able to relate to the children without any embarrassment. SUPERB!!

Governor/Teacher

Compared to other companies we have had covering the same content, the actors were more flexible and accommodating to the children’s individual needs. Through their answers and questions, the children were demonstrating a higher level of understanding, empathy and personal safety.
